Wellington Methodist Church, Telford, Shropshire

In November 2004, the Methodist family moved into their new modern, multi-occupancy building at the heart of the community. The new Wellington Methodist Church and Centre is a spacious suite of premises which caters for almost every kind of activity; having a bias towards being a church for all ages and circumstances.
The organ was commissioned early in the planning stages, and we were able to have full involvement in these plans including perfect positioning of the two independent sets of speaker cabinets (one in the main body of the church and the other in the Sanctuary area, and controlled by a switch on the console).
The regular position for the console is, as can be seen on the left, on the North side of the church.
The organ is a two manual with 37 speaking stops.

The organist of the church wrote to us recently regarding the organ, and has very kindly allowed us to reprint his letter in full:
"Decisions regarding the organ in our new church were taken before I was appointed, but I have to say that I am delighted with the instrument chosen. The richness of sound gives tremendous support to our congregational singing, and the range and voicing of the specification is most convincing in our well attended lunchtime organ concerts. There is no need to yearn for that extra stop since the generous built-in library caters for every situation.
The organ at Telford is well worth a visit and anyone is warmly invited to come and play it.
