Bailgate Methodist Church was built in 1880 in the centre of Lincoln. It is a grand church with fine proportions. Until the late 1990's a 2-manual Binns organ served the church (this was then rebuilt in another church in Lincolnshire). A second-hand electronic organ was then installed and this has finally been replaced in February 2009 with a new custom-built 3-manual Eminent organ. The speakers and 10-channel amplification are high above the gallery at the Eastern end of the church and the console is at ground level to the left of the sanctuary area.
